Cara Kovacs is an Intersectional Feminist Business Coach on a mission to help progressive leaders have their income match their impact. She is a daughter of immigrants and witches, Magna Cum Laude graduate of The University of Florida with a degree in Women’s Studies: Theories and Politics of Sexuality. She received additional training in the Master’s program at New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, 600-hour certification VITA Coaching, and certification via The Ethical Coaching Collective. She is a Reiki Master, a Virgo and lives on Tongva Land in Los Angeles with her very neurotic corgi.

By popular demand, I'm sharing some common coaching phrases and words that we really need to avoid, rethink and reconsider in order to decolonize our practises. If we truly want to foster inclusive environments that are supportive for ALL, we need to recognize the power of language! Here are some popular coaching/law of attraction/personal development phrases that I've now realized caused harm, and uphold white supremacy. If we're not careful, our words can gaslight folks and actually disempower instead of empower... and I know that's not your vibe!
